Charles L. Freeman (August 21, 1908-April 10, 2001) was an American sound editor and film editor who worked on both television and film He won an Academy Award in the category of Best Special Effects during the 21st Academy Awards for his work on the film Portrait of Jennie. He shared his Oscar with Paul Eagler, J. McMillan Johnson, Russell Shearman, Clarence Slifer, and James G. Stewart. [1]
In addition, he won a Emmy Award for the editing on the TV show Naked City.
