Characium marinum is a species of green alga (Chlorophyta).
Description
C. marinum is unicellular elongated oval algae growing attached epiphytically by a stalk various algae. The single chloroplast is parietal with a single pyrenoid.[1]
Distribution
Recorded from Svalbard, Sweden, parts of the British Isles with one recent record from Co. Down, Ireland and eastern Canada.[1]
