Chapter One is musical artist Chris Braide's debut album.
Polydor Records signed Chris Braide in London, United Kingdom. After hearing a demo tape that was submitted via his publishers Jill Sinclair and Liam Teeling of Perfect Songs.[1] Paul Morgan at Polydor played Simply Red star Mick Hucknall the demo tape who then took a break from his solo artist career to produce the album.
Braide recorded the album at Condulmer Studios, Italy, Olympic Studios, Barnes, UK and Marcus Studio’s London, UK. The album was mixed at Air Studio’s, London, UK.
Two singles were released from the album including the opening track "Surrender", and the Thomas Dolby produced "Funny Five Minutes".
