Ch'uwaña (Aymara for oozing of water and other liquids / melting of metals and other things,[2] hispanicized spelling Chuaña) is a mountain in the Andes of Peru, about 5,108.1 metres (16,759 ft) high. It is situated in the Arequipa Region, Caylloma Province, Lari District. Ch'uwaña lies north of the mountains Kiwicha and Mismi and west of the mountain Pukara. The lake Qarwaqucha (Quecha for "yellowish lake", hispanicized Carhuacocha) lies at its feet.[3]
