Central Kings Rural High School (CKRHS) is a secondary school located in Cambridge, Kings County, Nova Scotia, Canada. It serves students from grades 6 to 12.
An bullying incident that occurred in the high school in September 2007 and the response of many students after an idea of two fellows[1] was the cause for the Anti-Bullying Day (a.k.a. Pink Shirt Day) on the last Wednesday of February or the second Thursday in September in Canada and for the International Day of Pink on the second Wednesday of April, and have given the idea with the T-shirts for the International STAND UP to Bullying Day. The school is very strong on putting a stop to by-standers and bullies which is surported by the students, teachers and staff.
School Mission
The mission of Central Kings is to establish and promote a safe, healthy environment that allows for the development of respect, confidence, skills and attitudes necessary for lifelong learning among all members of the Central Kings school community. The school is working toward becoming accredited.
