Councillor The Honourable Catriona Bhatia (née Steel; born the Scottish Borders) is a Liberal Democrat politician in Scotland. She has been a councillor in the Scottish Borders council since 2003 where she is the deputy leader of the Liberal Democrat group.[1]
She is married to Rajiv Bhatia, a director of a whisky company.[2][3] They have four children. She is the daughter of former Liberal leader, Lord Steel, and his wife Judy.
Political career
Bhatia was formerly an Executive Member for Education.[4] Bhatia was the Liberal Democrat candidate for Dumfriesshire, Clydesdale and Tweeddale at the 2010 General Election.[5][6]
