Carol Spackman Moss is a Democratic member of the Utah State House, representing the state's 37th house district in Holladay since 2000. She served as the Assistant Minority Whip in the Utah House from 2004 to 2010.
Early life and career
Before becoming a member of the House of Representatives, Moss taught English at Olympus High School in Holladay, Utah (a suburb of Salt Lake City) for nearly 30 years.
Moss has bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Utah
Political career
During the 2013 and 2014 legislative sessions, Moss served on the Retirement and Independent Entities Appropriations Subcommittee, the Public Education Appropriations Subcommittee, the House Education Committee, the House Retirement and Independent Entities Committee, and the House Transportation Committee. During the interim, she served on the Education Interim Committee, the Retirement and Independent Entities Interim Committee, and the Transportation Interim Committee. Moss was also a member of the Administrative Rules Review Committee and the Education Task Force.[1]
