Carmen Hernández

Carmen Hernández is a Spanish catechist and the co-founder of the Neocatechumenal Way. She was born in Olvega (Soria, Castile and Leon).

Studies

Carmen Hernandez obtained a degree in chemistry at the in Madrid. She then obtained a degree in theology at the Missionaries of Christ Jesus.

Life

In the sixties, after the Second Vatican Council, Carmen devoted herself to the poor and marginalized.

She met Kiko Argüello, and together with the charisma of Charles de Foucauld they formed the Neocatechumenal Way in 1964.
