Sir Carlyle Arnold Glean, GCMG[1] (born February 11, 1932)[2] is a Grenadian politician, who served as Governor-General of Grenada. He was educated at the University of Calgary (BEd) and the University of East Anglia (MA, 1982). He was the Minister of Education in the government of Sir Nicholas Brathwaite from 1990 to 1995, after which he retired from politics. He was appointed Governor-General in November 2008 and was succeeded by Cécile La Grenade in May 2013.
