Carlos Zapata
Carlos Zapata (born 1961 in Rubio, Venezuela[1]) is a Venezuelan born American architect known for his work on the Cooper Square Hotel (now the Standard East Village) in Manhattan; the Fontainebleau Resort Las Vegas and the Bitexco Financial Tower in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, among many other projects.
Zapata is the principal of the self-titled architecture firm he leads "Carlos Zapata Studio".[2] Previous to opening his own architectural concern he was in partnership with Benjamin T. Wood (Zapata & Wood) and together with Dirk Lohan of Lohan associates they designed the extensive renovations made to Soldier Field in Chicago (completed in 2003).[3]
