Carlo Speroni (13 July 1895 – 12 October 1969) was an Italian long-distance runner.

Biography

He was called to the national team for three Olympics, 1912, 1920 and 1924 Summer Olympics.^[1] In 1913 he set the Italian record of six miles, a record that lasted for seventeen years. In 1914 he established and improved two more records on the 10,000 meters. He made his first race with the coat biancoblu at the age of fifteen. In 1936 he became massager to Pro Patria Calcio, where he worked for thirty years. In 1971 the stadium Stadio Carlo Speroni was named after him.
