Carla Mendonça

Carla T Dos Santos Mendonça (born 1961 in Nuneaton[1]) is an English actress. She has a degree in Theatre Studies and Dramatic Art from the University of Warwick. Her mother (English) and father (Portuguese) were both professional ballet dancers.[2] She went to Bishopshalt School, Royal Lane, Hillingdon, Middlesex.

She has also appeared in episodes of Bottom entitled "Smells", as Mrs. Cholmondley-Warner in episodes of Harry Enfield and Chums as part of "Women, Know Your Limits", Livinia in the French and Saunders episode "Misery", Imo in Comedy Playhouse episode "Cut and Run", two episodes of Alas Smith and Jones, Candy in Lytton's Diary episodes "The Ends and the Means", Lyda in one episode of Doctors "Last Supper in Suburbia", Valerie in The Young Ones episode "Sick" and she appeared with Gareth Hale, Norman Pace and Chris Barrie in an 80s comedy sketch show entitled Coming Next. She appeared in the CBBC programme Dani's House in which she was a spy tracking radioactive waves.

In January 2013 she appeared in the ITV comedy drama series Great Night Out as Mrs. Moogan.

She has also voiced various characters in the children's animated CITV series The Legends of Treasure Island. She is the sister of Colonel Jorge Mendonça who served with the First Battalion The Queen's Lancashire Regiment.[2]

She was a member of the Warwick team for the 2011 Christmas special of University Challenge, who were runners-up in the competition.
