Carl Arlington Gilbert was an American football coach in the United States. He was an alumnus of Allegheny College.[1][2] He died at a hospital in 1972.[3]

Coaching career

Gilbert was the head college football coach for the Allegheny Gators located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He held that position for the 1918 season. His coaching record at Allegheny was 2 wins and 1 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #28 at Allegheny in total wins and #6 at the school in winning percentage (.667).[4]
