Carin da Silva
Carin Elisa da Silva (born November 16, 1984) is a Swedish dancer, pop singer, and television host of Swedish-Portuguese heritage. She is the younger sister of the dancer Daniel da Silva and daughter of entertainer JJ da Silva.
Biography
da Silva grew up in Gothenburg and is a three-time Swedish junior champion in ballroom dance (Standard and Latin). She studied at Kongahällagymnasiet in Kungälv and at Balettakademien in Gothenburg. In the past, she has been a program presenter on TV4.[1]
In spring 2006 she competed in TV4's Let's Dance with Viktor Åkerblom Nilsson, and finished in third place out of ten. She also took part in the competition in 2007, when she and Patrick Ekwall finished in ninth place out of twelve. In 2008 she participated in the Let's Dance for the third consecutive year with dance partner Mats "Matte" Carlsson. They finished fifth out of twelve.
Between 2005 and 2006, Da Silva, a member of the girl group Cosmo4, recorded the singles Peek-a-Boo and Adios Amigos, but she has since left the group. She was chosen as Sweden's sexiest woman in QX magazine in February 2008.[2] In autumn 2009 she became one of three presenters for Förkväll on TV4 and was one of the panelist alongside Adam Alsing and Daniel Breitholtz on the chat show Adam Live, with whom she also does the Adam & c:o podcast.
Today da Silva runs a dog café in Stockholm.[3]
