Caren Kaye (born March 12, 1951) is an American television and film actress who has appeared in dozens of films and guest starred in many TV series. She is best known for her roles in the 1983 film My Tutor and the short-lived NBC situation comedy It's Your Move.

Career

Kay was born in New York City. One of her earliest roles was in a United States Navy training film about a young woman going through basic training. She appeared in an episode of the NBC situation comedy The Practice in 1976. She was a regular in the cast of the ABC situation comedy Blansky's Beauties, a spin-off of Happy Days which aired from February to June 1977.

Her film credits include Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977), Cuba Crossing (1980), Some Kind of Hero (1982) and Teen Witch (1989). However of all her appearances, Kaye is likely best remembered for her role in the 1983 film My Tutor. She played 30-year-old woman hired to offer summer tutoring to a male high school student, with whom she has an affair.

In 1984, Kaye co-starred as the mother of Jason Bateman and girlfriend of David Garrison in the teen comedy It's Your Move on NBC. The series lasted only one season.
