The Career Soft is a japanese video game development studio founded in June 1996 by Team Career, a team within the Masaya Games (company), which was formed to develop the Langrisser I and II. The Career Soft continued to work with Masaya Games for the development of Langrisser III, IV and V, before they are gone on to develop the Growlanser series together with Atlus in 1999. In October 2001, the Atlus acquired the Career Soft and became the sole publisher of their games.[1] In 2004, after the release of Growlanser IV, the majority of the Career Soft's staff was merged into the main development team of Atlus, where they have worked on Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor series. In the meantime, the Career Soft had focused exclusively on video production.

In 2015, the Career Soft is developing again with the collaboration of Masaya Games a new Langrisser installment, titled Langrisser Re:Incarnation. This will make it 15 years since the Langrisser series has seen a new title. The Langrisser was known beside the Fire Emblem series for its innovation and for being one of the first tactical console role-playing game series.
