Caraphernelia is a song by American rock band Pierce the Veil and the first official single for their 2010 second studio album called Selfish Machines. Caraphernelia was officially released on July 7, 2010.
It features Jeremy McKinnon from A Day to Remember as guest vocalist. [1] On September 28, 2010, an official music video, recorded by Robby Starbuck, was released.
History
The song is about Vic Fuentes' ex-girlfriend and describes the amazement about abandonment. [1] Fuentes himself said: "That song is about my ex-girlfriend Cara and about her leaving a bunch of her travel stuff - travel shampoo and razor at my house […] It's about after you've left someone and had some time to think, you can't remember why you broke up or what went wrong, or you question whether you may have screwed up a good thing." [2]
Music video
The video shows the band's life on tour, starting with Vic Fuentes getting separated with his girlfriend in order to reunite with the band on tour. However, all of the band members face troubles in their love relationships, so the video shows shots of every couple's memories or conversations. In the end, however, the band members are shown on the stage.
