Capital theft
Capital theft is the name sometimes given to aggravated theft in countries where such a crime is punishable by amputation or death.[1] For instance, the Sudanese criminal code at §170 and 171 defines such a theft as "the unlawful taking of another's property if its value is no less than the nisab, a crime punished by amputation of the right hand".
