The Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) is a professional organization in Canada for those involved in land use planning.

Founded in 1919, its primary aim is "the advancement of responsible planning throughout Canada".

Membership includes a number of services including:

Since 2001 the CIP has published an annual list of the best "places" in Canada in three categories, streets, neighbourhoods, and public spaces.
