Campnosperma zeylanicum is a species of plant in the Anacardiaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
terminally crowded, varying in size, elliptic to oblong, base tapered, apex rounded to retuse, lateral veins 20-25 pairs nearly at beneath rufous scaly.
Trunk
twigs conspicuously leaf-scarred; IB- red-brown layers.
Flowers
purple, pulpy, apiculate drupe inside a low-rimmed disc.
Ecology
rain forest canopy of wetlands.
Uses
ornamental; Wood - light construction.
Culture
Known as අරිද්ද (aridda) in Sinhala.
