Cambodia Bayon Airlines
Cambodia Bayon Airlines (Khmer: អាកាសចរណ៍ កម្ពុជា បាយ័ន/បាយ័នអ៊ែរឡាញ) is an airline based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Its main hub is at Phnom Penh International Airport. The airline is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bayon Holding Ltd., which is in turn a subsidiary of the Chinese carrier Joy Air.[1] It was registered in April 2014. The air operator's certificate was received in December 2014; the airline expects to have its inaugural flight by the end of 2014.[1] Cambodia Bayon Airlines's first operational base in Cambodia will be Phnom Penh. The company will also have operational bases in Siem Reap and Sihanoukville.
Destinations
Cambodia Bayon Airlines will fly regularly from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap every 45 minutes and, in addition, flights from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville will be scheduled twice a day. This was confirmed by the spokesperson for Bayon Airlines at a press conference in Phnom Penh.
Fleet
Current
Cambodia Bayon Airlines will soon import two Xian MA60 aircraft from the state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), with plans to begin domestic flights; and the number of aircraft will rise to five in 2015. Cambodia Bayon Airlines will import at least 30 aircraft to serve in Cambodia.[2]
