Call of Duty: Black Ops II downloadable content

The downloadable content available for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is an assortment of additional multiplayer maps, zombie mode add-ons, and other microtransaction-type additions that are available throughout 2013-2014, after the initial launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops II in 2012. Xbox 360 receives all DLC about one month before PlayStation 3 and PC, due to a special contract between Microsoft and Activision, which was announced at E3 2010.^[1]

Microtransactions and Other Packs

Personalisation pack microtransactions for the game were released for Xbox 360 on 12 March 2013, and PC and PS3 on 12 April. These allow the player to make small aesthetic changes to the multiplayer functionality of the game, like adding the flag of their country to the kill notification box, adding new weapon skins and allowing the player to use more Create-a-Class slots.^[2][3]

Nuketown Zombies

Nuketown Zombies was previously only available to players who purchase the Hardened, Care Package, or Digital Deluxe editions. From December 2012, players who have acquired the Season Pass can download the Nuketown Zombies map for free. However, as of March 13, 2013, it is available on the Xbox Marketplace for 400 Microsoft Points. It was then released on the PlayStation Store on April 12 for $5.00.
