- Ethnic and Women's Studies - Department was founded in 1973 to educate students with the knowledge, analytical skills and experience to effectively live and work in today's diverse society.
- Liberal Studies - One purpose of the program is to prepare students to teach in the public schools of California.
- Interdisciplinary General Education - Founded in 1983, this program fulfills general education requirements.
