Cable, Ohio

Cable is an unincorporated community in central Wayne Township, Champaign County, Ohio, United States. Although it is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 43009.[1]

Cable was platted in 1852. It was named for its founder, Philander L. Cable.[2] In 1881, Cable contained two churches, two schoolhouses, passenger train depot, telegraph office, freight depot, express office, two dry goods stores, and one restaurant.[3]
