Cabela's Dangerous Hunts: Ultimate Challenge is the first of the Cabela's games to be released on PlayStation Portable. It was co-developed by Sand Grain Studios and FUN Labs and released on April 4, 2006. This game also features many Sara Russells on the journey.
The game was published by Activision, in conjunction with hunting supply company Cabela's. This is just Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2 on a smaller screen with quick action mode.

Trivia
- The African Wild Dog and Grant's Zebra are the first animals to appear with the other animals in Cabela's games for the PlayStation Portable.
- This is the first Cabela's games on the PSP. The second PSP game was Cabela's Alaskan Adventures, third was Cabela's African Safari, fourth was Cabela's Legendary Adventures, and fifth was Cabela's North American Adventures. There are only five Cabela's games for the PSP.
