CRG Gallery
CRG Gallery, NY is a gallery on West 22nd Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. CRG was founded in 1990 by Carla Chammas, Richard Desroche, and Glenn McMillan, a trio which shares academic and professional experience in contemporary art, each having worked for major galleries in both the United States and Europe.[1]
Originally CRG was located in a townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan where they held the first New York solo shows for artists such as Jean-Marc Bustamante, Mona Hatoum and Jim Hodges.[2] CRG then moved to South SoHo, Manhattan and in 2000 settled on 22nd street as its list of artists represented grew.[2] CRG hosts about six exhibitions a year and in 2007 began their Open Video Series, an event which they invite various artists to curate a video show for every month and a half.[3] In 2008 CRG began publishing fine art editions for the artists represented by the gallery under the title 'CRG Editions'.[4]
