CMT Hot 20 Countdown is a weekly live music video show that counts down the twenty most popular country music videos. The show features a live audience, in-studio performances, and interviews. It premiered January 5, 2013, on CMT[1] and airs Saturday mornings. It replaced the long running Top Twenty Countdown that aired from 2001-2012 and is similar to CMT Most Wanted Live, which aired from 2001–04 and featured a live daily countdown.
About
The show is taped in front of a live studio audience at Music City Tower in Nashville, Tennessee. Fans will be able to interact with the show through Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Each week the hosts will count down the weeks twenty most popular country music videos, in addition to guests, exclusives, and interviews.[2]
Fans can vote for their favorite video online.[3] The number 20 video each week is determined by viewer's votes in the "Hot or Not" section online. Viewers are given a choice between two videos each week. The video with the most votes begins the countdown each week.[4]
