History

On July 28, 2008, Newcap applied to amend the licence by changing its frequency from 790 kHz to 840 kHz.[2] The application was approved;[3] however, the move was essentially voided when the station then at 830 kHz in Wainwright, Alberta was denied permission to move to FM.[4] The Wainwright station ultimately re-applied for—and got—permission to move to FM;[5] however, it is unclear if CFCW will once again apply for a change in frequency.
