History

John Bowen, a former financial advisor and investment firm executive, launched CEG Worldwide in 2000.[5] Initially, the company worked with large investment companies and brokerages; as independent financial advisors began flourishing in 2000-2004, CEG broadened focus.[1] From the outset, Bowen and the company took the empirical research approach emerging in the investment community and applied it to the in the financial services industry. CEG started providing advisors with large-scale best practice surveys that plotted the move from a transactional or even financial planning business into full-scale wealth management.[6] CEG's research and analysis reports emerged as a key success factor for the company by 2002, and introduced new industry standards.[7][8] Coaching material was built from this knowledge base, allowing CEG to focus on every area of the advisor's business.[1]
