The CCGS Cape Caution is one of the Canadian Coast Guard's 36 Cape class motor life boat.[1] The Cape Caution was built in the Victoria Shipyards, in Vancouver, and is stationed at Powell River, British Columbia.
On September 15, 2005, Geoff Regan, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, said: "Search and rescue lifeboats, like this one, are key to our maritime search and rescue program. Their strategic placement along our coasts provides the highest level of protection for both commercial and recreational vessels."
