César Soto Esquivel (born September 17, 1971) is a retired Mexican professional boxer[1] and is the former WBC Featherweight Champion.[2]

Professional career

In July 1993, César knocked out future WBC Lightweight Champion, José Luis Castillo in two one-sided rounds and was the first man to defeat him.[3]

WBC Featherweight Championship

On May 15, 1999 Soto won the WBC Featherweight Champion by upsetting Luisito Espinosa in controversial fashion.[4]

WBC & WBO unification

César lost the WBC title in a twelve round decision to Prince Naseem Hamed.[5]
