Byrd Leavell is a literary agent and partner with Scott Waxman at the Waxman Leavell Literary Agency.[1][2]
Career
Leavell graduated from the University of Virginia and the Radcliffe Publishing Program.[3] In 2012, he partnered with Scott Waxman to form the Waxman Leavell Literary Agency.[2]
Since signing Tucker Max in 2004, Leavell has worked to turn blogs and social media personalities from sites such as Twitter into books.[4][5][6][7] Two of the books he has sold, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell and Shit My Dad Says, were #1 New York Times bestseller's.[4][8][9]
His clients include: Tucker Max, Justin Halpern, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Pete Sampras, Mark Frauenfelder, Daniel O'Brien, Gavin McInnes, John L. Parker, Jr., Scott Sigler, Cody Lundin, Clay Travis, Cat Marnell.[3]
