Byrd–Hagel Resolution

The ByrdHagel Resolution was a United States Senate Resolution passed unanimously with a vote of 950 on 25 July 1997, sponsored by Senators Chuck Hagel (R-NE) and Robert Byrd (D-WV). The resolution stated that it was not the sense of the Senate that the United States should be a signatory to the Kyoto Protocol.[1]
