Byas (formerly Damauli), is a municipality and headquarters in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the [2011 Nepal census]] it had a population of 42899 people living in 11321 households.[1]

To Promote local culture Byas has three FM radio station. That are Radio Bhanubhakta - 104.2 MHz , Damauli F.M - 94.2 MHz and Smart F.M - 89.4 MHz, Which fall under Community radio Station.
