Butterfly (Chinese: 花蝴蝶) is Taiwanese artist Jolin Tsai's (Chinese: 蔡依林) tenth studio album. It was released on 27 March 2009 by Warner Music Taiwan with a bonus DVD. This is her first studio album after moving from Gold Typhoon (Taiwan) to Warner Music Taiwan.[1] A second edition, Butterfly (Deluxe Edition) (花蝴蝶華麗蛻變終極版) was released on 22 May 2009 with a bonus DVD containing five music videos, as listed in the Music video section, and a 32 page Pink Lady photobook (粉紅佳人).[2]

The tracks, "愛引力" (Love Attraction) is a cover of "Divine Idylle" from Divinidylle by French artist Vanessa Paradis; "熱冬" (Hot Winter) is a cover of "Hot Summer" by Monrose, "愈慢愈美麗" (Slow Life) is a cover of "Det gör ont" by Swedish singer Lena Philipsson, and "大丈夫" (Real Man) is a cover of a song by Lexington Bridge.

Reception

The tracks "花蝴蝶" (Butterfly) and "大丈夫" (Real Man) is listed at number 10 and 25 respectively on Hit Fm Taiwan's Hit Fm Annual Top 100 Singles Chart (Hit-Fm年度百首單曲) for 2009.[3]

The tracks "妥協" (Compromise) won one of the Songs of the Year and "大丈夫" (Real Man) won the Best Dance Song at the 2009 Metro Radio Mandarin Music Awards presented by Hong Kong radio station Metro Info.[4] According Taiwan's G-Music chart the album is the best selling album in Taiwan in 2009.[5]
