Bush Hill Park railway station is located at Bush Hill Park in the London Borough of Enfield, north London. The station is within Travelcard Zone 5, on the Enfield Town branch of the Lea Valley Lines. The station, and all trains serving it, is operated by Abellio Greater Anglia.

Service

The typical off-peak service from the station is two trains per hour to Enfield Town, and two trains per hour to London Liverpool Street. There are extra trains added during peak times and Tottenham Hotspur FC matchdays.

History

The station was opened by the Great Eastern Railway in 1880 [2] because of planned housing developments by the North London Estates Company.[3] Development in the area expanded after the station was opened.[4]

On 31 May 2015 the station will transfer from Abellio Greater Anglia to London Overground Rail Operations.[5][6]

Connections

London Buses routes 192 and 377 serve from just outside the station with the 231, 217 and 317 a short walk away on the Great Cambridge Road (A10).

Future

In late June 2013, as part of the 2013 Spending Review, Chancellor George Osborne gave the commitment for the devolution of the Seven Sisters and Chingford lines of West Anglian Suburban to TfL by the end of 2015. As such the station will then transfer to TfL control.
