In 1990, 151 tribal members lived on the reservation; in 1992, 356 people were enrolled in the tribe.[3]

The Burns Paiutes traditionally spoke the Northern Paiute language, which is part of the Western Numic branch of the Uto-Aztecan language family.[4]

Today

The tribe's headquarters are located in Burns. The tribe is governed by a seven-person tribal council. For economic development, the Burns Paiute created the Old Camp Casino, the Sa-Wa-Be Restaurant, and an RV park in Burns.[1]
