Burnaby Central Secondary School is a public high school in Burnaby, British Columbia. It is located across from Burnaby City hall and is adjacent Deer Lake Park. Burnaby Central is a part of Burnaby School District 41. Currently, there are more than 1,400 students attending the school. It has five computer labs, two gymnasiums, two outdoor fields, and a track. Burnaby Central is also known for having a strong rugby team, its award-winning music program, as well as their wrestling program as well as a track and field and football teams which are both making comebacks. Winning boys and girls soccer teams, championship girls volleyball team, and district champion cross country team add to the athletic successes at Central. In 2009, the wrestling team competed in the provincial championships and came out as the BOYS BC champions, this is Central's first comeback banner win in the wrestling division.
Central's ACE-IT program is a unique program that offers students from across the district to learn culinary skills from Chef Wade and his staff. These students learn a variety of skills including catering a number of dinners, conferences, and events.
Burnaby Central has now moved into their new school which was built over the old rugby field, and is the most advanced and eco friendly school in Burnaby.
