Burj Ran Singh (Punjabi: ਬੁਰਜ ਰਣ ਸਿੰਘ, Shahmukhi and Urdu: بر ج رن سنگھ), also spelled as Burj Ran Singh Wala, is a village in the Chunian Tehsil of Kasur District in West Punjab (Pakistan).[1][2] It is named after third Chief of Nakai Misl Sardar Ran Singh Nakai.

Geography

Burj Ran Singh is located at 30°56′12″N 74°08′14″E / 30.9367°N 74.1371°E[3] in the Chunian Tehsil of Kasur District in Pakistani Punjab. During British rule it used to fall under Lahore District.

Personalities

Jagga Jatt, a heroic rebel of Punjab, belongs to this village.[4] see Jagat Singh Jagga for more references. He is known as the Robin Hood of Punjab. His daughter still alive and lives in 'Vanwala Anu' village of Sri Muktsar Sahib district of East Punjab.[4] She is 90+ now.
