Club career
Born in Burguillos del Cerro, Burgui joined hometown's CD Burguillos' youth setup in 2003, aged 10. In 2010 he moved to CP Cacereño, and signed with lowly CD Diocesano in the following year.[1]
After scoring 26 goals with the Juvenil squad, Burgui joined Real Madrid C.F. in March 2012, with the deal being effective in June.[2] He made his senior debuts with the C-team in the 2012–13 campaign, in Segunda División B.
Burgui made his debut with the reserves on 2 June 2013, replacing Juanfran in the 68th minute of a 4–0 home routing against AD Alcorcón, for the Segunda División championship.[3] Five days later, he was definitely promoted to the B-side.[4]
On 21 September Burgui scored his first professional goal, but in a 1–2 home loss against Real Zaragoza.[5] On 11 May of the following year he appeared on the bench with the main squad, remaining unused in a 0–2 La Liga loss at Celta de Vigo.[6]
