The Burguete horse (Spanish: Caballo Burguete or Caballo de Raza Burguete, Basque: Aurizko zaldia) is a breed of horse from the Navarre region of northern Spain. It is listed in the Catálogo Oficial de Razas de Ganado de España in the group of autochthonous breeds in danger of extinction.[1][2]
Name
The name, both in Basque and in Spanish, is derived from the town of Auritz/Burguete.
