Burdett is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada within the County of Forty Mile No. 8.[1] It is located approximately 71 kilometres (44 mi) west of Medicine Hat and 97 kilometres (60 mi) east of Lethbridge on Highway 3.

History

Previously incorporated as a village on June 30, 1913,[2] Burdett dissolved to hamlet status on January 1, 2003.[3]

Demographics

In 2001,[4] Burdett had a population of 264 living in 99 dwellings, a - 7.7% decrease from 1996. With a land area of 2.08 km2 (0.80 sq mi), Burdett has a population density of 127.0/km2 (329/sq mi).
