Bulletproof Wallets is the third studio album by Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah, it was released on November 13, 2001.[10][11]

Album information

Despite a relatively positive critical reception, the album did not perform well in the charts, struggling to sell more than 100,000 in its first week. The album was hampered during its production by sample clearance issues, which led to the final product being much different from what was originally intended. "The Sun", "The Watch" and "Good Times" failed to appear at all while tracks like "Flowers" were remixed with a re-construction of the original sample.

Ghostface Killah blamed his record company, Epic Records, for the problems, and claimed that it had not been willing to financially back him in buying the sample clearance rights. Ghostface later left Epic, having fulfilled his contractual obligation with a Greatest Hits release, and signed with Def Jam.

Bulletproof Wallets continued the unfortunate tradition of erroneous track-listing that plagued Ghostface until his move to Def Jam; the sleeve of the album contains numerous mistakes, including songs that never made the final cut and omitting others that did appear, whilst simultaneously confusing the running order.
