The Bulgarian Pirot Offensive was a Bulgarian offensive action to advance towards Serbian town of Pirot (near the Serbian – Bulgarian border) and also planned to advanced Niš .This offensive action forced Serbian command to send reinforcements to the 2nd Army defending Pirot and Nis. The Bulgarian invasion was stopped with the help of these reinforcements but Serbs was unable to reinforced the advanced troops in Kalimanci. So this movement helped Bulgarian troops to gain a defensive victory in the Battle of Kalimanci[1]
