Bukalo is a small town in the Zambezi region of north-eastern Namibia. It is situated about 40 kilometres (25 mi) south-east of Katima Mulilo within the flood plains of the Zambezi. Bukalo has about 6,000 inhabitants and was proclaimed a town in 2013.[1]

It is where the Masubia Khuta, the palace of the Masubia Royal House, is situated. Current Chief of the Masubia tribe is Kisco Liswani III. Annually in winter Bwinkuhane Bwetu, the cultural festival of the Masubia is celebrated at Bukalo.[2]
