The album in available exclusively online with a goal of giving new listeners a chance to have access to most of Building Rome's music in one place.

Building Rome began to attract national attention with the release of their most recent album, Nightmare. Released September 15, 2009, Nightmare is a concept album loosely based on the movie Jacob's Ladder. The album was produced by Steven Haigler, (who has worked with both The Pixies and Brand New), and features guest appearances from Tim Convy and Tim Ferrell of Ludo, Dave Grelle of The Feed, and Adam Barr of The Goodtime Engineers. In addition, two of the songs on the album ("Streetlights" and "Last Time Again") were co-written with Ted Bruner, a songwriter signed with Warner Chappell.
