Buford City School District is a school district in Gwinnett County, Georgia, USA. It has an enrollment of 2,689 as of the 2006-07 school year.[3] The superintendent is Dr. Geye Hamby. Buford City schools was named the #1 Best School District in Georgia.Buford Academy was named the #1 Best Public Elementary School in Georgia. The Georgia Department of Education announces Buford Academy as a 2014 Highest-Performing School.[4]
