Buddleja asiatica 'Sweet Promise' is an Australian cultivar raised by R. J. and R. A. Cherry from an openly - pollinated seedling, and released to commerce in 1993 protected by Plant Breeders' Rights. [1]
Description
'Sweet Promise' has a more densely branched structure than the species. The leaves are dark green above, grey tomentose below. The inflorescence is a terminal panicle markedly longer than the type at < 39 cm, comprising longer, 7 mm, florets of very fragrant white flowers. Seed production is minimal or non - existent.[1]
Cultivation
'Sweet Promise' is not known to be in cultivation beyond Australia.
