Buddleja 'Minpap', selling name Reve de Papillon™, is a buddleja cultivar raised by the Pepinieres Minier nursery at Beaufort-en-Vallée, France, from an openly-pollinated 'Royal Red'.[1] Reve de Papillon featured in the Buddleja trials held by the Royal Horticultural Society from 2008 to 2010, but was unplaced in the public popularity poll.
Description
Reve de Papillon makes a broad, bushy shrub, 1.5 × 2.5 m, with arching branches bearing long, broad, terminal panicles of purplish-pink flowers and grey-green foliage.[1]
Cultivation
Reve de Papillon has become widely established in western Europe, including the UK; a specimen is grown as part of the NCCPG national collection at Longstock Park Nursery, near Stockbridge, Hampshire.[2] It is not known to have been introduced to North America.
