Buckeye Station is the second oldest settlement in American state of Ohio[2] Located just east of Manchester, Ohio, high upon the uplands overlooking the Ohio River, Buckeye Station was built in 1797 by General Nathaniel Massie. Massie went on to found no fewer than 14 towns in Ohio, including the state's first capital, Chillicothe. Today Buckeye Station is a crumbling ruin. It stands in the shadow of a cell phone tower, in a patch of woods, near a large agricultural field.[3]
